MY HUSBAND WAS DIAGNOSED AS BEING HIV+ A LITTLE OVER 6 MONTHS
AGO--- WHAT A SHOCK TO SAY THE LEAST. NOT TO MENTION I WAS 7
MONTHS PREGNANT WITH OUR SECOND CHILD. SOME NIGHT AND DAYS WERE
SO LONG I THOUGHT I NEVER WOULD MAKE IT BUT WE DID.AND OVER THE
LASTS SEVERALMONTHS I HAVE WATCHED AS MY HUSBAND HAS DELT WITH
THE SHOCK OF LEARNING HIS STATUS AND DEALING WITH ALL THE MEDS.
AND ALL THE BAGGAE THAT COMES WITH THIS DISEASE. WE HAVE CRIED
TOGETHER AND GOT DRUNK TOGETHER AND SAT SILENTLY WATCHING THE
STARS . BUT HE DOESN'T COMPLAIN OR WHINE . WE JUST TAKE EACH DAY
WE HAVE AND TRY TO MAKE IT THE BEST ONE POSSIBLE.MY HUSBAND HAS
NEVER HIT ME, CHEATED ON ME OR EVEN COME HOME LATE. HE IS A
LOVING HUSBAND AND FATHER. HE IS VERY INVOLVED WITH BOTH OUR
CHILDREN SO NOW EVEN THAT I KNOW THAT HIS PAST MAY NOT HAVE BEEN
WHAT I THOUGHT I STILL LOVE HIM EVEN MORE FOR THE DIGNITY THAT HE
HAS SHOWN THROUGH THIS WHOLE ORDEAL. I CHERISH EACH DAY AS IF IT
COULD BE OUR LAST. I PRAY TO GOD THAT WE WILL BE ABLE TO WATCH
OUR CHILDREN GROW UP TOGETHER, BUT IF WE CAN'T I WILL NEVER LET
THEM FORGET HOW SPECIAL THIER FATHER WAS BECAUSE HE WILL ALWAYS
BE PART OF THEM JUST LIKE MYSELF PEACE

I like your attitude, and may try that too...
Currently, we are trying to get through our shock of my husband recently being diagnosed with AIDS, and I am HIV(-), but not a day goes by that I don't appreciate having him here...we are going through a BIG transition of lifestyle right now, but I have confidence that he will be here for a very long time, and will help our little guys play Baseball,or even just spend alot of quality time with them. God forbid that something happens to him, the boys won't have any opportunity to ever forget this great and loving man who is their father.
Right now, we are living for the moment, because thinking about the distant feature puts a lump in my throat as well as tears.
We too, take it one day at a time, and are getting ready to start the treatment soon....
