My friend and I want to have a baby but he's HIV+ and I'm not can we still do this without me contracting HIV? I don't know what is out there medically

Please visit The Body Forum on mixed-HIV status couples. There're many threads dealing with this issue, and Dr. Remien has addressed this issue extensively.

Hello Anon - here in the UK (and also in Milan), there are several hospitals doing sperm-washing, which gets rid of the virus in the semen (the sperm are not infected with HIV). The hospital is the Chelsea & Westminster in London. In Milan, the doctor who devised this process is called Semprini. There are lots of articles on the web. What about adoption? Have you looked into that? Best of luck to you.
