I am in a new relationship. I have been HIV+ since 1986 and have not allowed myself to even think there could be a man to accept this. Now I have met someone but he is scared and has no one to talk to - where can I send him to have a man who is in the same situation to talk to?

Tell him to look here: http://www.thebody.com/Forums/AIDS/Couples/
And here: http://www.thebody.com/whatis/mixed_status.html
Remember that it is 8 times harder for a woman to get HIV from a man then it is for a man to get it for a woman. And the highest risk is intercourse and he can wear a condom. You can kiss all you want and hug and you can touch him! Explain and have him read here--saliva does NOT transmit HIV!!! ONLY vaginal fluids, semen and blood!! SOme of the women profiled here are married to negative men and NONE of the men got infected! http://www.thebody.com/features/women/ Good luck!

Get him active on this! ! Have him create his profile and he can ask anything he wants and I'm sure he'lll get a good answer. I've been with my girlfriend for 8+ years. She's positive and I'm negative. Sometimes not always good, but we have a very strong connection.
