I have been reading the entries on this page for two hours now.
The possibility and/or probablilty of HIV/AIDS is overwhelming at
first, then bearable as you become aware of what you can and
cannot do to go on with your life. I am not positive, but have an
uncle who is, and grew up in Key West, and have known many people
that are struggling, dealing with it, doing absolutely
wonderfully, or are no longer with us. There is a much better
place to which we go when we are no longer on this earth. Don't
be afraid and don't allow the ignorance of so many people to get
you down. Life is for living, and we must all do our best when we
can. Take joy in the moment and let the past and the future be at
peace. I once read a poem (in the PWAC newsletter) that said (in
a nutshell), "I stand on the shore watching as the ship sails
over the horizon and my heart cries--he is gone. At a far shore
on a distant land eager hands reach out and joyous voices cry 'he
is here! he is here! our beloved one is here! God is with me; god
is with him; all is well" This means a lot to me, and I hope it
will to someone else, too.
