I am a HIV negative woman with a positive spouse. We would like to have a baby using the sperm washing technique. I am having a difficult time finding a way to have this procedure done that is financially feasible for us. If you are in a similar situation, please join my blog. My hope is that our united voices will bring change, where my single voice hasn't.
The blog is www.HIVnegativespouses.blogspot.com
I'd love to gather support, resources, and information from other women in my situation.

Hello, I know you posted a while ago, but I am fairly new to this. I am in the same situation. My positive husband would like a child. I have my own from a previous marriage--but would love to have one for him. We have been married for three years, and we just found out a year ago that he is positive. He just knew that I would hate him--but being educated has its benefits, right. Anyway, Jonathan Larson wrote a wonderful rock opera called Rent--so we've used it to help us cope and understand things. We are going to see his primary physician for a referrel to find out how we can conceive! I will keep you posted if I find out anything. I hope your situation has changed for the best too! Good luck!

Sperm washing is not the only technique which has been suggested as a possibility for HIV-positive men. Some scientists are investigating the possibility that sperm could be heated to 58 degrees - enough to destroy HIV - without ruining its ability to properly fertilise the egg. ____________________ Get Your 24 Hour Yeast Infection Cure Here
