The full transcript of the press conference is a little long, but it's really interesting. They talk about modifying stem cells, knocking off the CCR5 receptor, and reinfusing these new HIV-resistant cells them into the body.
Research is still preliminary, but showing lots of promise! One of the studies was able to challenge mice with HIV and clear them of the virus in 12 weeks!
