according to BBC News, a recent report finds that 1 out of 10 people in the UK still think HIV can be transmitted through spitting or kissing. even more alarming is that 1 out of 5 don't know it can be spread between a man and woman.

Sadly no matter how much information is out there to educate people there will always be the die hard idiots. I came across an elderly lady that truly believed you can get it off the toilet seats. She doesn't believe the scientis that state othrwise. Ignorance will always dwell amongst us.

It was three weeks after I was diagnosed before my girlfriend would kiss me again. I had to urge her to go to a doctor and get herself educated about the disease. I reminded her that we had been kissing passionately for 8 months and having safe sex, and she is still negative. She finally has come around and we are kissing again, but it is interesting to see that a lot of people do think they can get it from saliva.
