PRICE INCREASE OF NORVIR

When I went to re-fill my Norvir prescription two days ago (at Rite-Aid in Seattle, WA), the pharmacist informed me the price had been increased by Abbott Laboratories from $233 a month to over $1,100 a month.

THIS IS AN OUTRAGE!!!

Why have I not read anything about it on any HIV/AIDS websites? Where is the outrage? How can Abbott justify an almost 400% price increase in the oldest protease inhibitor on the market?

The HIV/AIDS community needs to protest this en masse. Contact your Senators and Representatives and let them know Abbott is engaging in profiteering, price gouging, and institutionalized banditry!

I'm disgusted and appalled and I plan to keep screaming about this until Abbott backs off on their blatant theft!
