Hi! I am a 28 year old female doctor with HIV. I got the infection through a needle stick injury. I was diagnosed in 96 when I offered a blood transfusion to a friend's father. I have been through hell, mainly because my profession put me in constant contact with hiv positive patients each time forcing me to relive my story. Seven years down the line, I have changed careers and am absolutely normal with no symptoms. I am not on any medication. HIV has taken away a lot from me, but has also given me so much in the form of unconditional love from family and friends. My main priority now is to find a life partner and possibly to have a child. (Not that different from the average 29 year old female, is it?) I would like to chat with other hiv positive heterosexual people and also with anyone who has contracted the infection via an infected needle like me. My email is zoyakhan_1 at hotmail.com
Looking forward to hearing from you!

You are not alone. My husband became hiv positve in 96 through a needlestick injury. Thank goodness that workmans comp pays for his medical bills. I've been a nurse for 20 years and have been stuck with countless needles but thank god I remain negative. good luck on finding other hetersexual + women.
