Models wanted
      #63410 - 04/09/03 01:47 PM

We are looking for real people to appear in pharmaceutical ads and public service announcements for AIDS education. You do not need to be model beautiful but must present a healthy image. Work is ongoing but sporadic. Rates vary from a few hundred dollars a day to several thousand.

My name Greg Solem and I am the Director of the Proof Positive Division of The Morgan Agency. The Morgan Agency is a decade old talent agency in Hollywood. We are licensed and bonded and we have one of the finest reputations. Feel free to look at us on the web at www.themorganagency.com

For the past 8 years our Proof Positive Division has provided real people living with HIV to appear in ads and public service announcements. Pretty much every ad you have seen features people in our division. We have raised more then two million dollars for the HIV community and we won The Humanitarian of the Year award in 1998 for these efforts.

The Morgan Agency is a SAG, (Screen Actors Guild), AFTRA, (American Federation of Television and Radio Artists), and Actors Equity licensed agency. We are licensed as well by The Department of Industrial Relations and The Department of Labor. We are located in Los Angeles. We have worked on the careers of some well know talent including Heather Tom who is a three time Emmy winning Actress who plays Victoria Newman on The Young and The Restless, Shirley Jones and Tony Curtis to name a few. We have been profiled in The Wall St. Journal, New York Times, LA Times, Daily Variety, CNN, Lezza, People and Entertainment Tonight as well as in the Advocate, and Poz.

We represent over 600 models and actors and have a staff of 16+ employees. We are a hard working and honest agency. We do not charge any up front fees but make a standard commission from the jobs we place our people in - 10% for Union and 20% for print and non-union.

The Proof Positive division represents over 100 models who are working in ads mainly geared to the HIV community for Pharmaceutical companies. You can see our talent in the December issue of Out for Bristol Myers Squibb in the Zerit ad, and DuPont in the Sustiva ad. In the December issue of Poz you can see our models in the Merck ad for Crixivan, BMS for Zerit, DuPont for Sustiva, Virologic for Phenosense, GlaxoWellcome for Agenerase, Abbott for Ensure as well as the cover story on Precious Thomas. We have worked on every major campaign targeting the HIV community and we are the only agency in the world that has this type of division.

If we decide to work together, you will need to give us contact information and fill out a skill sheet for our database. We ask that you give us current color photos showing face and shoulders, as well as a 1/2 body and full body shot in form flattering clothing. You should not wear busy patterns or distracting styles. The photos need not be professional but they must be clear and in focus and they will not be returned.

We will need an address to send out contracts, they are standard and do not require exclusivity or that you accept a
project. We act as the go between, submitting your picture for consideration and then negotiating your payment - for this we take a commission.

We do ask that if we work together that you act in a professional way and try to be available for castings and bookings as needed. The work is sporadic and is not steady but one good campaign can repay all the time and effort put in to the process. Most auditions and shoots are in LA or NYC. Talent living in LA will be submitted for New York jobs but will not have to go to New York unless they book the job. The same goes for NYC talent for LA bookings. The client usually covers all expenses for any transportation to and from bookings.

You may get basic agency information at www.themorganagency.com

I hope you will consider this opportunity and contact us if you are interested. In order to move forward we will need name, address and contact numbers and then expect that you will mail us pictures in the following two weeks for review.

Please feel free to e-mail or call me if you have any questions - (323) 469-7100 ext. 113 or if I am unavailable please speak to Rich at ext. 106

Thanks,

Greg Solem
