Discrimination
      #63034 - 04/06/03 03:46 AM

Hi guys, I'm doing a senior thesis, my topic is discrimination against people with AIDS and HIV and I really need to talk to someone who had any negative experience. I do not need any personal information, i just need someone to share their experience with me.
Do you know anyone who could help me? I would really appreciate any help.
thank you

My brother was diagnosed with HIV. He was treated for his infection. We started his HIV treatment but it was too late, he developed partial blind ness, paralysis and high fever and cold. We wanted him to be admitted to the hospital but Doctors told no use of admitting him take him home now nothing can be done. He died at home within a week. If it is not HIV he would have got admitted in the hospital and got proper care. Later we came to know about another hospital where the Doctors were even performed surgery and admitting any HIV patient. This information came too late for us. Due to the taboo attached to HIV we could not discuss about any better option with our people. Now we are all still wishing we should have had the provition of admitting him to the hospital and avoided his death. (We are from developing countries)
