Hello, My name is Melissa Adams. I am a hearing student at the Rollins School of Public Health, Emory University. For my Master thesis I am doing interviews with HIV positive Deaf adults to learn about their experience with this disease. The interviews can be conducted by TTY or instant messenger.
WHO: Deaf HIV positive adults (18-64 years old).
WHY: The Deaf and Hard of Hearing are overlooked by most public health agencies in HIV/AIDS prevention efforts. I hope to gain information that can be used to improve HIV/AIDS prevention programs targeting the Deaf and Hard of Hearing and to decrease the knowledge gap on this topic.
PRIVACY: All information provided is confidential and names or any information that could be used to identify you will NOT appear on any written documents.
CONTACT: If you are interested in speaking with me or know someone who is please contact Melissa Adams at kanni_79@yahoo.com Thank you.
