I am a married 49yr old male HIV+. My wife is HIV-. We decided to obstain from sex 6 years ago because of the diagnosis and the fear she might get infected even with protection. I have found this a very missing link in our relationship and because it has been so long I wonder if I could maintain an erection long enough to put a condom on. I would like to hear from others in this situation and can I be assured that I would not infect her if I use a condom correctly everytime. She is even affraid of oral sex performed on her. There has to be other people out there with HIV- partners. Need advice

My husband of six years found out he was hiv+ this year. I being negative had to question my safety and confussion. He had to have been positive for 10 years + and we have even had a child together prior to knowing he was infected. There is a required caution but suggest you both talk to your doctor and find a way to make safe love to each other! This worked for us.

Dear Friend We are both HIV + and we have been advised by our Doctor to use condom and continue with our lives as normal as possible. Our Reationship is stonger and very close. We take comfort in the fact that we are getting treatment and looking forward to a vaccinne which is been developed. Please do not lose hope. We found out after 2 years of marriage. We live in England. Good luck to you both.
