The Body, 2001: Men, epidemiology fact sheet:
Over 70% of Hiv infections occur through sex between men and women. Yet in most regions of the world 2/3 or more with Hiv are men. 53% of all people with hiv are men.
5% to 10% occur through sex between men. 5% of hiv occurs from IV drugs.
Do search on "Who Gets Aids", and click on "Heterosexual Men",
then click on articles, "Men Key to Reducing Hiv/Aids", "Role of Heterosexual Men in Continuing the Epidemic", and "Men Epidemilogy Fact Sheet."
Experts in article says must be campaign to reach men in order to reduce Aids. I can't see this happening. Women in America will have to get more empowered than ever to help themselves. Sad that African women often have no choices because of the way of life there, so maybe American women could somehow help them out.
