Does anyone with chronic infection notice that their body temperature tends to run lower all the time than what is considered normal?I wonder if this is related to the virus trying to keep the immune system from fighting back>

My temp stays at 96.8, normal is 98.6, it has been that way since I started monitoring my T-Cells and VL. The doctor says it is normal for your median temperature to fall a number or two. Don't worry you will still know when you are running a temperature.

I had low temp also. I added Cayenne capsules to my routine, at least 80,000 H.U. per day. I have been normal (98.6) for a long time now.

Having a high temp can be a good sign of your body working on an infection. So what your point? Don't let some of these fools scare you.

My "point" is my temperature is chronically low so according to you I probably am not fighting infections.I guess you are the "fool" that is scaring me now!

Wow I didn't realize my low temp. was from my hiv. I just thought it was normal for people to have a low temp. Anyway don't worry too much.Your well being has to do with a lot of things not just your temp.I have been pos. for 17yrs.Keep a positive attitude.I know it is hard at times.I will keep you in my prayers.Sincerly lonesomedove
