Just diagnosed. lots of nonsense here. Anyone have good advice? What's the first step. Am 24 gwm. feel really stupid and alone.

Hi Kevin!
There are more 24 year olds then you think who are diagnosed HIV positive. I hope you have chosen a good HIV specialist just to get baseline numbers. Also it's good to go to a support group so that you don't feel alone. When I was diagnosed I waited too long to get support and i think suffered for no reason! It's hard to be positive and especailly in the gay world where people are so secretive about their status.

I can honestly tell you that, yes you were stupid in not having protected yourself better, but life goes on. Theres still hope for a natural life. Be strong Kevin, I know its easier said than done, but you must stay optimistic and try to take better care of yourself now. I...well I truly hope I could be of any aide to you in any way possible.
