After starting meds within three months I gained 25lbs. and my stomach seemed to stay bloated and belching became uncontrolable. I was really worried for a while. I started taking anti-gas pills with every dose of medication and started watching my calorie and fat intake. It has bee14 months 16 months since I began medications and my problems have gone away. My stomach is no longer bloated. As long as I take the gas pills with each dose of meds the belching stays at bay. I have also lost the 25lbs I gained (Thank God - because I was by no means too skinny before the meds).

Maybe you should have a stool analysis done. You could have some bad bacteria or other nasty pests causing those problems. Great Smokies lab is a good place.

I've been on meds for awhile, but just changed to a new reg because of metal side efects and severe hair loss from the old one.My stomache never got really big but I watch what I eat reliously and exercise.BUT ONE WEEK into this new reg only and my stomache is 7 months pregnant!Could you share what drugs you were one,I wonder how this can happen so quickly(I'm also gaining alot of weight and barely eat)

I was on Epivir, Zerit, and Ziagin. For reasons other than the stomach bloating I had to change from Zerit to Videx. The bloating went away before I made the med change. It took 6-9 mnths for my stomach to go down. Good luck! Try the gas pills with your meds. (eg. Gas X)
