Hi Out There:

My name is Nandi Pointer and I'm a freelance writer. I'm writing an article about HIV and African-American women and I hoping to find a couple of women to speak with who are living with the disease.

As a Black woman, myself, I am alarmed at the rate at which this disease is spreading thorugh the African-American community. Through the piece I hope to share the struggles and power of young Black women living with HIV as well as illuminate the seriousness of this problem...hopefully spawning more social action in fighting it.

I have no problem keeping your identities confidential if that's what you prefer.
