can someone please tell me how you go about getting a job with insurance and taking advantage of the 1996 law clinton passed that no one can be denied insurance or have a pre existing condition clause put on them if they have had credible insurance for at least one year.
i mean, do you just get the job, get the insurance and on the sign up form say what you've got? or do you just start going to a doctor and then sending in the claim forms.
by the way, this is florida i am referring to.
need help urgently!
thanks

don't know about Fl but overall it's like this ( sort of )..... if you have any kind of insurance NOW and have been diagnossed with HIV and are being treated for HIV ( or any thing else pre existing ) and get a job with insurance, the employers insurance company may ask you about pre-existing conditions. If they do, you MUST tell the truth. They will ask for prof of previous insurance and then should cover your "pre-existing diagnosis". Do not stop paying on your present policy until you are certian that the employer's insurance co will cover you!!!!
