I wasn’t aware of the fact that there was a “professional” strain of HIV and a “non-professional” strain. I guess I learn something new everyday.

The way that I viewed that post was to mean, people who work in a professional environment, who are still working and trying to keep a sense of normalcy in their lives. Speaking from my own experience, the support groups that I have attended seemed to be filled with people who were out of work, or on disability, or SSI. Those of us who are still working have different issues to deal with that are not addressed in these groups. This isn't meant to anger anyone, as I'm sure that the original post wasn't meant to either.

Depends where you live. In major cities there are some. Which city do you want to know about?

I liked your response to the original thread. I feel like s**t but it made me laugh. Thanks.

Yes...I belong to a weekly support group in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. All of the members are employed full-time in professional capacities.
Another venue for support is an email support group list called GayPoz. See http://www.gaypoz.com. Approximately 400 gay, hiv positive men are currently subscribed to the list as members.
