I have recently found out that one of my best friends is HIV positive. I live with him and his lover. The two of them mean the world to me and I want to be there for them in the best way possible. The three of us have gone through a lot together and this is causing an incredible amount of stress on them. I wish I could snap my fingers and make everything allright but I can't so I will just have to do the best I can. We are all being very positive about this and trying to stay happy. I know that is important. My dilemma is that I have no one to talk to about this. I get worried sometimes and just would like to talk to people in similar situations

DIEDRA- hI, my name is Liz, My brother is pos, and I really know what you are talking about, the lonliness and helplessness of trying to remain positive for them and feeling like hell on the inside. terrified for them and yourself-the loss is terrifying. I too have always "Fixed" my brothers problems and i can't fix AIDS, and that probably bothers or eats at me the most. How do we fix something that just seems so unfair. I too look for support from others on the internet. Don't feel alone-there are alot of us out there. look locally for a support group, in some states it's called HANDS, or call the local health department for whereabouts of meetings or support groups for loved ones affected by aids. Don't be afraid to reach out-you have a right to feel the way that you do. It is so hard-just don't feel alone. We're all in this together. Hang in there. Love and Prayers to you and your loved ones. Liz
