I would love to talk to anyone currently in the army and is +. How were you treated after you made your diagnosis known? Can you retire in the army being pos or are you being made to leave the military after your enlistment is up?

You may want to check the Delphi Forums. They don't have any aids catagories but they do have a hepc vets topic. And since that is much easier to contract perhaps you can find some useful info there. I wsh that sight had a hiv web site .

Did you see the US military forum in the "Connect" tab? That may help you find helpful information from those who have already been over this road.

If the information at that link still stands, it sounds like you are well covered and that you and your career are pretty safe. I'm sure it will be a process, and that your career may take a turn slightly different from planned, but it looks like it will still be pretty positive and worthwhile. I hope this will allow you to just focus on getting your health under control for now and get over the shock. I do wish you the best!
