My doctor seems to think I have an autoimmune disorder *eyes crossed double take* what! lol
She's testing for everything from lupus to B19 parvo virus but is leaning toward rheumatoid arthritis and so far Xrays indicate this is defiantly possible. I do have advanced peripheral neuropathy (all the way into my hips and shoulders) and a great deal of joint pain mostly in my hips, hands and wrists. Along with AIDS this would be the bulk of what I have going on. While I wait for the blood tests to come back *tap, tap, tap* if it is rheumatoid arthritis I have heard (in passing) the treatment for this is pretty harsh as far as meds and with the meds I am already on... My questions being; is there anyone here who has rheumatoid arthritis along with HIV or AIDS? How are you treating it and how is it effecting you? I'm not wanting to dwell on it too much but I also want to be prepared as my Doc is very swift, vigorous and adamant o.0 so I do want to know what I can going in and not be too overwhelmed. Being equipped to ask the right questions is always best IMO, so any info (even in general as I know little to nothing about this) would be greatly appreciated.
