HIV+ Small Business Owner w/ Insurance Question

I'm just curious if there are any other HIV+ small business owners out there that have dealt with insurance issues. We currently have BCBS and I'm covered for medical and presccription BUT it comes at the cost of our insurance for other employees being very expensive and not having other options. I'm trying to figure out what the options are to get the best, most inexpensive insurance for our employees while still maintaining coverage for myself. Obviously it's the total dollar amount that I'm ultimately looking at, not my specific out of pocket expensive for me. I'm willing to pay more myself if would be able to save the difference or more by having alternatives for the other employees.
Thanks.

Hey tmd,
I'm not sure if you've found any answers on this yet. Have you tried asking our experts at our "Workplace & Insurance" forums? http://www.thebody.com/Forums/AIDS/Workplace/index.html
We have an old answer from 2001, but I don't know how accurate it is today. http://www.thebody.com/Forums/AIDS/Workplace/Archive/Insurance/Q22512.html Worth a look, I hope.

The other poster is correct. You should look for plans that cover like yours. The trick is to use the Law of Large Numbers to spread the risk around so as to hold down premuims. Be careful as some these plans are criminal organizations. Some of the plans use a Voluntary Employee Benefit Trust to cover these members.
Good show you for being so concerned about your employees.
