Does anyone know a good doctor who specialises on HIV/AIDS, in Durban, South Africa. The doctor I have been with is emigrating and I need to find a doctor who knows what he is talking about, and who is familiar wit processes and procedure. I have been referred to one doctor, but when I ask him certain questions he keeps on paging through his books and asking me if he can asks someone first. I don't have full trust on this guy, I need someone who is ,much more knowledgable. Pls help.

Hi Christa,
I don't know anyone in Durban but the best HIV specialist in South Africa is Dr. Steven Miller. He unfortunately sits out here in Johannesburg. He is very expensive (R1,500.00 per consultation and R1,500.00 for blood tests) and has his own lab. He is a specialist virologist. His web site is www.innovirinstitute.com.
You may want to save up and make a trip to JHB to visit him. It will be well worth your while. He is a younger doctor around his 40s. I have been twice to see him and once I have the money I will go back and see him again. He will answer any questions you may have so have a list ready for him.
