pre employment drug screen

i am going for a new job. its one i REALLY want. i have been on meds for 7 months now, sustiva/truvada. all the info i can find states that i will probably show a false positive because of the sustiva. has anyone else had to deal with this? how does one handle this? what do i do? thanks

When you go to take the test, be sure you tell the administrating party what medications you are taking. They can then adjust things so that you do not receive a false positive. Good luck on the job.. D

I new I was HIV pos when I applied and got a job in New Orleans Oscner Health Center, I was given a blood screen, but they never did say anything to me. Perhaps they were just testing for drugs, I am not sure if they were testing for HIV at that time. I got a feeling if you tested positive for grass /canabis that would be a problem.
