viral load

I've been trying to find out what your viral load is (approximately, of course) shortly after being infected... and have had no luck...

So I guess I'm just wondering... what was your viral load when it was first tested?

There is no easy answer to that. As a rule, the viral load is very high right after infection and then drops to lower levels after the acute phase of infection is over.

I'm assuming since you are posting on the Living forum this is because you don't understand your viral load results from your first set of labs upon finding out you were infected. Those types of questions are best discussed with your doctor in relation to your viral load and your health. No one elses viral load matters in this context.

Viral Loads vary from person to person. After infection, numbers can be in the hundreds of thousands and ass high as in the millions.
But it's all fluid and dynamic. In fact all your lab numbers are fluid and change up and down throughout your day. When you get your labs done, think of it as a freeze frame in a movie. That's why docs usually ask for a series of snapshots to look for a trend.
Take it easy, and take care of yourself.
