I'm looking for more info/personal experience concerning treatments and symptoms associated with testosterone/hormonal deficiency and associated problems, (fatigue, mood changes, ability to focus, loss of drive, lessened experience of joy, general flatness...DEPRESSION.) Sources of new info would be greatly appreciated.

I recently asked my doctor to check my testosterone levels, because I had heard that lowered levels could attribute to depression... I was met with great resistance from my doctor. His response was "If you can achieve an erection, your levels are fine." I know that information doesn't help, but I wanted you to be prepared for resistance from the medical community.

Hey,I know if your levels are low it`s easy{sometimes} for the people around you to see the change in you.I was the last to realize mine was so low until my partner was complaining about my being in bad moods for long periods of time.I know since I`ve been getting testerone injections,I have more enegry and am in a much better frame of mind.It also helps in the romance department too. They have testerone in a patch form but my dr thinks the injections are more easily absorbed.I hope this helps out.Daniel

I also started taking testoteron injections. My mood change to happy and fun loving and i felt my interest is sex return but it was short lived. about a month on the therapy things seemed to go back to the same. The only thing i noticed was increased hair growth everywhere but on my scalp. Go figure. My doctor was also hesitant to even test, also. Good luck.
