How does an HIV+ mother/wife ever get a vacation? for free... or as close to free as possible. Not that I'm looking to mooch. Just that we're sitting on "E" 95% of the time. The kids are constantly being kids (and who could blame them) The husband is constantly being a husband (and who could blame him) LOL I love them dearly, they sustain me so much. I'm just in need of some refreshments. Coffee only holds me so long :) Any suggestions? BTW The forums look promising. I'm interested in doing a lot more reading here. Hope to gain some much needed kinship along the way. If at all possible.

Javajo, join the club. I am not a wife or mother, but life tends to put us all on E most of the time. Welcome to the boards, we are glad you here and are looking to chat more with you.. D

I plant myself in a lawn chair in the backyard, put my feet in the portable pool, throw on my MP3 player, and with the cooler next to me and declare myself on vacation for a few hours.
Welcome to the board!

Actually Anon one has said what I was thinking so let me put it another way: Only you can give yourself a vacation. If you feel overwealmed and overworked and need a break. No one is going to give it to you.....you have to take it. This is all part of TAKING CHARGE of your HIV care. Find a support group...or form one of your own...join a health club and have ONE day to yourself each week . There are infinite possibilities. But no one is going to give it to you.
