I was just reading Scot on 'Fatigue' and know that I am lucky/unlucky to be living in Australia.

Lucky because HIV means a full disability pension - permanent, not much but enough to exist on. Lucky because I too suffer from fatigue but, because of the pension I don't have to work. Unlucky because I have to enter the public medical system and there are the good and the bad and you don't get a choice. As I think I've told you guys before, the ID Clinic I go to is the best in Melbourne (capital of Victoria, population 2,000,000+). However, I too have problems in the legs and have to go to the clinic at the same hospital as the ID Clinic. I am in the middle of getting those problems diagnosed and I don't have the same confidence in that doctor. Yes, I could go outside the public medical system, go to a private specialist = big dollars, particularly for someone on a pension.

When I say that I am in the middle of being diagnosed, had one visit to the doctor, one visit to have the nerves tested and have a follow-up visit with the doctor next month. Thanks to Scot's post and a very quick search, I may now have a name for the problem = neuropathy. And, the site that I quickly visited says that it could be treatable. I'll do more research when I have finished here.

James
I hope you find what you're looking for. I too have seen a few new drugs talked about in regard to treating neuropathy but have heard nothing about results. For the most part its the pain neuropathy brings that is treated and not the neuropathy itself.

Hi Bear,

Sorry, I say wrong, what I said was that neuropathy is treatable = means can be fixed, no!!!!!!! What I should have said is that websit say 'it can be controlled, as you know, is lot of difference between "fixed' and 'controlled'.

Now, I going to that stupid woman, make post after me, don't believe HIV?????????????????? I offer to have unprotected sex with her! What you think she say?????????
