I just got my 2nd set of numbers. My CD4s shot up from 525 to 798! My VL went from 638,000 to ">100,000", whatever that means. It still says my CD4 % is 25, so I'm not sure that what that is either. Still, I thought this was really good.
Even better, the genotype results came back and the virus strain I have is "Maximally responsive" to nearly every HIV drug on the market. At least for now it is.
So, I thought this was good.

Don.....This is indeed excellent news! Thanks for letting us know. You are obviously in really good shape. I would, if I were you, keep in mind that what you eat and drink and how much stress you have in your life, is also a part of "taking charge" over the virus.

Thanks. I eat well and take multivitamins and B vitamins everyday in addition to antioxidants. I have for years. I don't smoke and I was never a heavy drinker and now I've stopped completely.
So I'm gonna try to stay off meds, but we'll see what the Lord has in store for me.

Congrats on your great numbers! I eat well and take vitams like you combined with an arobic and weight exercise program and am still off meds - !!!!! i'm hoping my next set of numbers improves yet again! CONGRATULATIONS

Having the proverbial "Wild Card Suseptable virus" is great news! You have quite a while before having to take any further med steps.. Get comfortable, and enjoy life. Keep your checkups and do what your doin...
