I want to meet a guy who has AIDS. I have never met someone with HIV he is a internet friend , he is Gay I am Straight and I probably will give him a hug. I know you can't get HIV from hugging someone it is just I never met someone with HIV (that I know of). I don't want to do anything strange or act awkward or anything like that. Can someone give me some advice ? we will have lunch together and share a car for a joy ride in the city.

Someone living with HIV is no different than you.
Stick to the old adage about treating someone the way you want to be treated.
If you have sex, use condoms. Other than that, the best thing to do is just forget this person has HIV.

Do me a favor and dont focus on the GAY part of the situation. I am sure he is just a man with HIV. That is what runs through his blood but what is important is what runs in his heart. Every gay male that i have met in my life has been a wonderful man. Gay or straight they all look the same just may act a little different. I really hate the myth that GAY means that you walk around horny and want all male figures including children. This is so not true in any fashion. That doesnt mean a person is GAY when they want those things that means they are sick. It is nice that you want to make a new friend but dont let it be because he has HIV because you are curious, Let it be because it is time for a new friend in you r life. With love always.....
