if you want to meet people, try poz.com or your local ASO for support groups. This site is great, though, and it doesn't matter where you are geographically - we can all post here any time. People from all over the world have helped me here at The Body.

Corey... is there an AIDS Service Organization in Portand? If not, ask your doctor about counseling and he/she may be able to direct you to someone.

Hi Corey: Check through this list of aids organizations: http://www.thebody.com/hotlines/other.html#maine also you can register here and lots of people will respond. Or post your email address. This site is really helpful. Laura

Thank you. I appreciate the information. As you know this is not easy at all. Sometimes I really dont feel like going on. I had everything going for me and then my world turned upsidedown.

Corey, I'm negative but am very interested in becoming a friend with you and finding out how we can get through the depression together. I live in central MA, not far from South Portland at all. My family lives in southern NH (my mom and siblings). Jenn

Dear Corey~ Frannie Peabody Center is a great resource. You can reach them at 774-6877.
Positively Social of New England is an opportunity to meet others...Their yearly get together is this month. There is a conference in Augusta in October regarding Poz issues with the first day being for positive people. FPC can give you info on these events. My advice to you is this: You will get no better support and guidance than from others who have walked this same path. Connect to the degree you feel comfortable...Things will come together in time...Keep your chin up...and breathe! It's been 20 years for me....I'm still kickin' : )
