Hey
I want to hear from anyone thats living with HIV and Herpes how they have coped with the 2 and whether there is any link to Herpes increasing the rapid progression of HIV?

I have been taking VALTREX for years and (for me) it has been a wonderful help.

I have had both since 1999 and my numbers have been stable and I am not on any medication.My Doctor recommends not to do the blood tests when i have a breakout of herpes because that affects the cell count.

i had herpes zoster(shingles)it attacks the nerves,but valtrex works good for that,as far as the progression of hiv as herpes as the cause i never read or head that,but you should consult with you id doc,you may have nothing to worry about at all,but you can only get the facts from your doc,hope this helps,take care

thats good,and herpes being active will effect your vl,as many factors will effect it,but your doc is the one who is the man to listen to,he does have degrees on the wall.take care
