Positive since 2003 full blown aids. Was on Kaletra and combivir. Reached non-detectable, and cd4 rising as expected. Into 3rd year noticing increase in truncal girth. Waist went from 27in. to 32in of hard solid protruding fat. Arms, legs, face losing fat, veins proturding, cheeks sinking. Lipids climbing above high. Switched to Reyataz boosted with norvir low dose, and truvada. Now even just going on three months, have lost 2in from waist, and veins are much less noticible, as is face looking better. No significant weight loss associated. Next labs due in August, hoping they are good. There is hope. Stay proactive in your care. Also, have more energy and stamina since stopping the AZT.

routine excercise, and high protien diet will restore muscle mass, and help eleviate fat as well....Good Luck & God Bless*
