Its when you have been exposed to a bad bacteria. Most are treatable. Herpes and Hiv are viral. Warts can be lasered, but may come back. Protect thy self, I don't care how HOT he/she is...your crotch will be hotter!

Infections are also viral in nature such as Herpes and HIV. ALL are considered STI's.
