scabies
      #199519 - 07/11/06 03:29 AM

I'm so scared of what is going on with my skin. The Scabies that I have is not going away. I will try my third treatment tomworrow night, but am still scratching, especially in my groin area with numerous areas inflammed on my leg and inner thighs. Some areas look diffrent and I am concerned that I have Karposi Sarcoma. Did any of you have a diffucult time time getting rid of scabies? The pyrethimine cream helps for a few days and the itch just seem to come to come back. I'm dealing with so much right now! Too many years of drinking have left my liver in poor shape and my doctor will not let me begin new drug treatment untill I stop drinking, yet I cant seem to be able to move away from drinking. I feel depertly alone and forever ugly with these outward signs of my inner desease (HIV) and these inner scars from my alcoholisim. I just want to die and start over.

I TOTALLY understand how you feel. I had scabbies for about 4 or 5 months and they were really bad on my inner thigh. Puffed up and left some marks but eventually i got rid of it usind aldara<sp?> the body cream and alot of patience. I understand about how you feel...wanting to die and feeling like shit. Some days are easier than others and some days you cant even get out of bed. Things will get better but in the meanwhile try to think positive thoughts and keep the spirit. Keep the hope thats all any of us can do.. Hold on.. I love you and I know that ive been there and we;re all here for ya

Only AFTER I stopped drinking was I able to realize that I didn't drink Because of my problems... but rather most of my problems were BECAuse of my drinking.

Call AA and go to a meeting. Anyone can stop.
You will be amazed at the kind and loving support you will receive in thgose meetings.
Take a chance... What have you got to lose?
When you get there stick out your hand, introduce yourself, and tell at LEAST one person you are new & need help.
The answers will come IF YOU LET THEM.
Some of your itching could be LIVER related... ask your doctor, be persistant.

Good luck.

I hope you reach out... It's never as hard as WE IMAGINE.
