Dont let HIV Fear Steal the Day
      #199339 - 07/09/06 09:16 AM

It goes without saying that it is easier said than done to be ever vigilent in letting the fears of tommorow ruin today but it is the only thing that makes sense intellectually that isnt some hollow platitude falling on deaf ears.

HIV/AID is like any other disease friends. It steals our comfort from the safe assumption of many tommorows.

The last thing I could bear when my time comes is to have wasted it in fear that my time would come. I just cant take that liberty.

It therefore becomes crucial that we re-wire our tendency to spend too much time crying and stamping our feet with the time we have now as that will be a waste of that precious time. Its a choice that we have to make emotionally and our efforts to choke back the tears are a worthy cause if it helps us extract the preciousness from each day.

This is not to say that there wont be sadness anger and self pity, but it is important to manage these emotions with the good sense of knowing that we waste today if we let fear of tommorow overwhlem us.

Cant afford to waste today , no matter what cause today I got up one side and down the other

Dad
