Vitamins and supplements

Does anyone have recommendations for a recommended daily vitamin and supplement routine. I've done some searches but haven't found anything that is greatly helpful. I've never been one to take a daily vitamin but now I'm thinking that anything I can do to provide extra support for my body might be good.

Personally I do a standard multivitamin and add Coenzyme Q-10, glucosamine, fish oil, calcium, glutamine, selenium, and an extra dose of vitamin C and B-complex.

I take a mulitivitamin and a vitamins C tablet ya know extra help for the immun system and my meds that works pretty great for me.

my specialist told me a regular multivitiamin is plenty sufficient......

My doctor said there was no Pill that would take care of "my" problems..

Thanks Brandy! That seems to be a common combination. Someone mentioned extra Selenium too!

Any mention of including Iron or not? I read someplace to take the iron out.

I have heard from several docs that a regular multi-vitamin is plenty. They all said that the expensive ones are no better than Wal-mart or whatever your local generic brand may be. Good luck

My doctor also told me just a regular multi vitamin was fine. I was anemic too so I asked the doctor about the iron, but it turns out in the azt(combivir) that it brought my hemoglobin up to normal limits. Some people it makes them anemic, some people it stabilizes it.

I take "Dr. John Kaiser's K PAX Immune Support Formula". I got them from a local buyers club. They are capsule form for easier digestion and you take according to your weight. Thus, you will have to take quite a few a day. uugh!
Side Note: Be very careful what herbal supplements you get. Check with your doctor first. I have had more side effects from herbal meds than presciption. ie..Damiana leaves to increase sex drive=I wanted to physically hurt someone after 3 days...not in sexual way either. lol. A lot of people are not aware that a majority of herbal supplements are NOT FDA appoved.

Does this mean when I go on meds that I have to discontinue my Flintstones Vitamins??
This hole HIV thing sometimes really bums me out man!
