After AIDS symptoms?

This may seem silly coming from someone who has lived with HIV for 3 years, but here goes. My husband had a cd4=3 when diagnosed. no need to say how sick he was. I am also pos but my count was very good. He did very well on fortavase and combivir. Within 2 years hhis counts were up to 500. He still has problems with fatique, and muscle pain. I never have. I know symtoms can be different for all, but I was wondering if maybe because he was so sick. Also is there anything we can do to help it? He eats well, and is active, maybe a med? Is this something he will just always have to deal with or can sympoms change?
Sorry to ask such stupid questions, but I love him and only want to help.
We do see an ID dr. ( not sure why we haven't asked him).
We both have had a difficult time reaching out to others who are pos.

Has he been checked for anemia. It's common with AZT which is one of the drugs in Combivir. Perhaps he can switch the combivir to truvada. read through the questions here:

I was recently diagnosed also, when I ended up in the hospital with PCP. My count was down to 52. I am up to 299, and a viral load of 235. I am also fatigued in the afternnon and can not sleep at night. I am on Sustiva and Combivir. I was also very anemic. Luckily my husband is negative. This goes back to my daughters father 8 years ago. If you feel like you would like to talk to someone. I do not know much since this is all new to me but maybe we can learn from each other.
