I recently found out I'm HIV positive and I don't have health insurance. Does anything know of any resources for me? Are there any sites that can give me the information I need on how to go about getting insurance? I work part time and don't have insurance. I'm searching the Web for a good consumer-oriented site with information--not someone trying to sell me something. Please help!!

I've used http://www.healthinsurancereviewed.com in the past; it's an excellent, comprehensive site and it's free. Also, try these boards for information on insurance. Your local HIV counselor also should be able to help you with insurance issues; in many cases there are program to assist you in getting the drugs you need.

First try looking for the nearest ASO in your area, you can do that by googling the information and also, contacting the health department as well. Also, POZ.com and AIDSMEDS.com has some really good listings of resources for you. The most important thing to remember is that you have the right to get treatment even with out insurance.
