Please let me know any experiences you had with this med and how long they last. I would not be concerned however, I leave the country for 3 week on July 2 and am affraid I am going to be sick my entire trip. Thanks for any insidte you can provide.

why worry about things you have no control over ? Since everyone is different, why would you worry about potential problems someone else might have with a medication? Are you a hypocondriac? No you're not. Don't ask for others experiences unless you can derive a positive & good benefit from them. If you are afraid you will be sick you might be. If you go forth with a positive attitude with ABSOLUTELY NO EXPECTATIONS you might be surprised to find how pleasant your life is becoming and how much FUN and pleasure you are finding. Reach out and spread this new-found LOVE to others.

I'm always surprised to hear of anyone being put on monotherapy, but sometimes doctors have good reason for that. Taking any HIV med as a monotherapy can quickly lead to resistance to that med. The AIDS Info Net is a good resource for information on all aspects of living with HIV and it is maintained by an HIV+ physician. Here is a link to the information on Kaletra, but please keep in mind that all persons may not experience the same side effects. Good Luck! http://www.aidsinfonet.org/articles.php?articleID=446

I do agree what the "positive person" said in a reply to you. But I do think hearing from others who have been on Kaletra can help. Maybe you are in a trial for Kaletra only regimen? One of the most common side effects is diarrhea. All you have to do is take some fiber and maybe some calcium carbonate. Aidsmeds has a lot of good info for you: http://www.aidsmeds.com/drugs/Kaletra.htm Dr Gallant on fiber: http://qa.hopkins-aids.org/forum/view_question.html? section_id=61&category_id=164&id=39030
Good Luck

Yes, I am in a 48 week trial of Kaletra only and the study can be extended to 96 weeks. If my number do not inprove my medicines will be changed and I can drop out of the study at any time.
