Employment drug test positive which HIV med is it

I have recently changed my combination to 3TC, Abacavir and Efavirenz. I work within an industry that requires regular and random drug and alcohol testing. My urine tests are now coming back positive for canabanoids ( I don’t smoke dope). I can have a GCMS test done on the positive sample and that comes back clear for the cannabis but these extra tests take time and cost a lot of money. My question is does anyone know which of the drugs is causing the false positive in the urine test? I am hoping to find out for sure which one it is so I can look for an alternative that won't cause so many problems and so much embarrassment.

are u listing all the drugs u are taking? hiv drugs may show false neg but they know which ones and they are looking for eligle drugs so as long a s u list them there shouldn;t be a problem they are not allowed to tell ur empoyer u are pos. i have been pos for 15 yrs and have drug test often i have yet to fail 1 yet

Are you on Marinol or Drubinol or any Synthetic THC for nausea? That will definitely show up as "using marijuana", because it is synthetic THC. If in doubt...call your doctor and ask his opinion on what could be causing the test to come back as dirty.

Efavirenz (Sustiva) will give you a false positive for canabinoids, talk to your doctor and maybe you will want to switch.

It is definitely the Sustiva. This problem has be well documented many times.

I can verify this from a story I read in Tpan magazine
about people in jail and how they got in trouble testing pos for pot and it was the Sustiva.
