Is it possible to experience lipodystrophy and neuropathy within 2-3 months of HIV exposure, or are these conditions generally symptomatic of long-term HIV status? I have noticed significant swelling under my arm/ beside my right breast. I'm not sure if it is a normal fat deposit, a swollen muscle, or a serious medical condition. Also, I have experienced slight pain, tingling, and numbness in my extremities. Could these be caused by anxiety? Thanks.

Unfortunately, they are both symptoms of HIV, but usually more long term effects, that is baffling. (Sometimes side effects of the inihibitors). Although may not all be lipodystrophy, could be fat deposit. I have lipodystrophy but also a large fat deposit on my arm which I had prior to HIV infection, but it grew so I had it examined by doctor, not connected to HIV, just fat! Do you see an HIV specialist? I'm not a doctor, but I doubt anxiety would cause them. Although anxiety can cause so many physical problems, darn it!
