HIV - through hand contact?

I'm currently feeling absolutely petrified and shocked with an insistent belief that I have contracted HIV.
The tragic incident occurred with a prostitute who first had her fingers inside her vagina and then used that hand to rub my penis for some time. In addition, I had a momentary intercourse which ended as I realised what the hell I was doing (was protected).
The question is, has anyone of the members gotten infection in this manner? ANY other information whatsoever would be extremely appreciated.
After waking up the next morning and realising what had happened I have been in a near state of shock for these four weeks.
Identified symptoms: During the first and second week after the exposure I had a feeling of slight swollenness in my neck glands and also bouts of slight temperature variation at the second week (feeling cold most of the time). I also had odd sensations such as soreness in my penis during the first week that might have been caused by the rubbing. At day 8 or 9 had a first feeling of sore throat which turned out to be a viral infection that has lasted to this day (a bit over two weeks now)! The infection seems quite mild as at times I don't even feel it but it seems scarily persistent. There's one-sided swollenness and redness in the throat and sometimes the pain radiates to my ears. I have also felt an odd feeling of weakness in my legs and cold feet but admittedly this might be caused by sheer terror.
I had the antibody + tests for other STD's done at week 1 and the antigene (?) test at exactly 2 week's time. Needless to say, I'll be going for the additional tests as soon as possible.
Sorry it ended up being a winded story but I felt the need to vent it out.

Hello Anonymous,
Mutual mastrubation poses no risk for HIV nor vaginal intercourse with a properly used condom (if no slip of or breaking) does.
Read a little while on the basics about HIV on this website and you will read this and should be convinced you're fine.
Don't fall in the trap putting complains (probably due to cold, in each case not due HIV) of your body together with HIV. ARS-symptoms by the way do not start before 2 weeks after infection.
Sorry for my compact answer, but i don't have a lot of time right now. I'm starving hungry, it appears it's time for dinner.
Best regards, Dutchman

Many thanks for your quick answer! I must admit that I'm still not much at ease as some sources would seem to indicate that it is possible to contract HIV from the vaginal fluids even through the glans of the penis!? The female had her hands on my penis almost immediately after having them inside herself and was bound to have fluid in her finger.
The most worrying thing is the viral infection in the throat that has lasted so long - never recall having anything similar.

Hello Desp,
I wanna add another few things to my answer, which hopefully can ease your mind more. It's important to get well informed now to keep rational thinking and realise the risk you have taken is a thousand times smaller than you think right now! OK, let's go.
In your previous post you asked this: "the question is, has anyone of the members gotten infection in this manner?" Well, WORLWIDE there is not only one case wherein is proven that someone has become infected with mutual mastrubation. You can read this also in the expert section of The Body. Yes, theoretically spoken, every possible HIV-infected body floods that come in contact with the mucous membranes of the other is a risk for infection. But the fact is that to come in contact with a small quantity HIV-infected vaginal secretions outside the body and become infected this way is nearly impossible to impossible. A small filter of vaginal fluids which has been on the hands of the prostittue, is exposed to the air and the oxygen has made the possible HIV-cells in the infected fluid very weak.
What about the sore throat. You say it started day 8 or 9? If someone gets early symptoms (ARS) because of HIV infection they will almost always start between 2-6 weeks after infection. A little bit earlier is possible but day 8 is extremely unlikely. If it was starting in the timeframe 2-6 weeks i would still not link it to HIV, but i thought it may be useful in this case to rule out the possiblity (that your sore throat could have anything to do with a HIV-infection) because you say it's the most what's worrying you. Together in math it would be something like 0,0001*0,0001 = 0.00000001% (as you can see my math is better than my foreign grammtica :-)
This is all psychological. But you'll come over this soon, i'm sure. Be strong and get maybe some more informed about HIV. But in the case you would decide to take a 3 month HIV-test, please don't waste all your valuable time by only searching on the WWW in the meantime. You have not a lot of reason to be nervous as i have pointed out.
Best regards, Dutchman

and if you remember the hand of the prostitute as quite wet: don't forget prostitutes use lubrication (water based liquid) to make intercourse easier because they do not become very wet normally.

Dutchman, many thanks for your kind words! Despite them it seems that I'm unable to calm down because of this strange throat infection. Went to see a STD specialist today and she also thought the risk of infection quite small despite the symptoms. Also got the antibody sample (4 weeks from exposure) taken but the results aren't unfortunately available until Tuesday or Wednesday next week. I will post the results here, in any case.
