Athlete's foot question....

I see a lot of contradictory statements on this. Can athelete's foot approximately six weeks after a relatively low risk event be a symptom or not. I have no other symptoms. Is six weeks a likely time for this to develop? Is athlete's foot even a symptom at all. Thanks.
