Should I be scared? Need reality check.
      #99082 - 05/24/04 03:59 PM

6 weeks ago, someone who may or may not have HIV gently rubbed the tip of my penis, around the urethra, with his finger and a minute or two before, he had wiped some precum from his penis with the same finger. What are the risks that I am infected. The only symptom I have is a current case of athlete's foot (which I get from time to time) and a slight burning on the top of my left foot. I'm worried. Please let me knwo if the risk is small or large. Thanks.

Hello Anonymous,

Some precum if containing HIV, being two minutes exposed to the air, will not be infectious anymore. No need to focus on "symptoms" here. Small risk would start here if there would be more than a little fresh precum or sperm (much rather sperm) which immidiately get rubbed on your penis. Maybe is good to read the expert-sector of this website to get some more informed about hiv. You will see there mutual mastrubation is considered no-risk.

Greetings,
Dutchman

Is burning feet an early sign or late?...... new

I'm just wondering if I can rule out the burning feet if this would never happen so soon - 6 weeks.

It's not clever of you to focus on symptoms. You will always be able to find something going on in your body if you focus long enough on it. Anyhow, it seems it's the fault many of us make/ have made. Important is to look at the risk factor. ARS, if it occurs, starts almost always between 2-6 weeks after infection. For you this is irrelevant information for what you have described, because no risk is no risk, burning feet or not. If you cannot accept, do a test but the outcome is not hard to guess.

Enjoy life (and safe sex)

Greetings,
Dutchman

Am I right to assume that even if there was enough sperm on there and he was positive, that the risk is still only 100 to 1 that I'd be infected? Thanks.
