How reliable are any of these test? Has there ever been false negatives for PCR after 28 days? Also, what's the number of documented cases of Elisa or Home access negative at 9 weeks to be positive at 13 weeks? Where and who came up with the 13 week number?

Why dont you take either the PCR or Home access? Is it the cost or do you think these test are inaccurate? Also, why do you go twice a year?

Why don't you read all the information about HIV testing at the websites for the WHO (World Health Organization), or the CDC (Centers for Disease Control) or the GMHA (Gay Men’s Health Alliance)? They cover national and world guidelines and tell about the accuracy of the tests.

The ELISA, ORAQUICK, ORASURE, and HOME ACCESS are FDA approved, which means they are highly sensitive, specific and accurate.
The PCR isn't a diagnostic test. It's a special test. It's EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE, and has a high false POZ rate.
With the FDA approved test after three months they are 99.99% ACCURATE.
Nothing is ever 100%.

"The PCR isn't a diagnostic test. It's a special test. It's EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE, and has a high false POZ rate."
This is utter baloney. Hogwash. Nonsense.
PCR's do *NOT* have a "High Rate" of false positives. They have a slight (we are talking in the single digit percentages) rate of false POSITIVES.
False negatives are almost unheard of. PCR testing is highly sensitive and highly accurate if you wait the necessary number of days before having the test done.
For Qualitative RNA tests that wait is 15 days (to be safe). For DNA tests the wait is 28 days (to be safe).
If you get a negative, you are 99.999% negative.
