If HIV was causing problems in your GI tract would it only occur in late stages? I tested negative at 8 weeks, and have been diagnosed recently with inflammation in my large colon. Could this in anyway be related to HIV?

It shouldn’t have anything to do with it, in some places 8 weeks is conclusive for testing, I still prefer the 13 week mark. Ask your doctor he may have more insight of what other things could be causing the problem, HIV seroconversion is not usually a cause and HIV infection is not a cause of it to swell.
