Actual cases that were not proven to be hoaxes there have only been a couple that were due to a needle stick and the person taking PEP, 13 weeks is conclusive, and in some places less is.

If I am correct I believe one of the health care workers who seroconverted late (around 6 months) was mainly due to co-infection with Hep C which she aquired along with HIV from the needlestick.
